Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural family. She was born in South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. She was raised in a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an acting BA. While attending the academy, she appeared in a number of performances on stage, such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. Since then she's made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Her popularity resulted in her being cast as Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in six episodes Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the past two seasons, was to leave the series following a guest appearance in the premiere episode of the new season. The actress played Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he is also a part of the cast on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her four older brothers were also in the family: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's family, which is all sportsmen, played in the summer months and play hockey in winters. Ashley did not walk; instead, she was a dancer. When she was two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in high divisions. She also won the top awards for soloists in every important dance competitions like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
