Kelly Clarkson has been a musician and singer in the United States for more than 20 years. She won American Idol during the first season. This win did more than propel her to stardom and acclaim, but it also earned her a multi-album record deal with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came close to reaching the top position. Her name is one of the most well-known artists that have emerged from American Idol. After achieving success, she tried out different themes and music styles often singing with her partner in line with her personal feelings. Her individuality and her singing ability earned her critical acclaim along with a host of important prizes. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. Alongside her music career, she also has had a stint in TV and film. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charitable organizations.
