Biles was awarded a silver medal in vault in 2010 and a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to competitions at the elite level in 2011. A year later Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles stood out for her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficulty of her routines in each of the four events: vault, bars with uneven surfaces and balance beam.
